Void & Clone

Today, we are introducing the Void & Clone feature in CRO Billing. This feature allows you to void an invoice while creating a clone and making necessary changes.

Overview

• You'll find the Void & Clone button at the bottom of the posted invoices next to the Void button.

  

• While the Void button deletes an invoice and removes the invoice total from the customer's balance, the Void & Clone button voids an invoice and immediately creates a duplicate. The cloned invoice allows you to change prices, add new line items, and make other modifications before it is saved and reposted.

• Previously voided invoices also have a Clone button ( unless they had been voided and cloned ), allowing you to clone them and make any required adjustments.

• Cloned invoices retain the original invoice number with an appended "C" to indicate they are clones, along with a number indicating how many times they have been cloned.
  
  For example, invoice #23456, when cloned, would be #23456-C1; if cloned a second time, it would be #23456-C2, and so on.

  

• The original invoice will appear as voided, but a note at the bottom will remind you that a clone was made from it. Note the "C1".

  

• The new cloned invoice will also note where it was cloned from.

  

The Void & Clone feature enables better control over invoicing and corrections, ensuring transparency and precision for you and your customer.
